Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using this website or engaging our services, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by these terms, please do not use this website or our services.

These terms apply to all visitors, users, and customers who access or use our website or services in any way.

Use of Services

Our security services are provided for legitimate business and personal security purposes only. You agree to use our services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations.

When scheduling service appointments, you agree to provide accurate and complete information about your property and security needs. You are responsible for ensuring that our technicians have safe and reasonable access to your property for installation and service purposes.

Any misuse of our services, including providing false information or interfering with our equipment, may result in immediate termination of services without refund.

Service Agreements and Payment

Service agreements will be provided in writing and must be signed before any installation or monitoring services begin. Payment terms will be specified in your service agreement and may include one-time installation fees, monthly monitoring fees, or both.

For monitoring services, billing begins on the date your system is activated and connected to our monitoring center. You are responsible for providing at least 30 days written notice to discontinue monitoring services.

We accept major credit cards, checks, and cash payments. Returned checks may result in additional fees. Delinquent accounts may be subject to service interruption or termination.

Equipment and Ownership

Equipment purchased from Delgar Alarms becomes your property upon full payment. Equipment provided under a lease agreement remains the property of Delgar Alarms and must be returned in good condition upon termination of services.

You are responsible for maintaining and not damaging leased equipment. Normal wear and tear is expected, but damage beyond reasonable use may result in replacement charges.

Monitoring Services and Response

Our monitoring center operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Upon receiving an alarm signal, our operators will attempt to contact you or your designated emergency contacts immediately. If we cannot reach you or if a genuine emergency is confirmed, we will dispatch local emergency responders to your location.

You understand that alarm systems may occasionally produce false alarms due to user error, equipment malfunction, or environmental factors. Excessive false alarms may result in fines from local authorities, which are your responsibility.

While we strive to provide prompt and reliable monitoring services, Delgar Alarms cannot be held liable for response times of emergency services or any damages resulting from delays, non-response, or false alarms.

Warranty and Liability Limitations

New equipment installed by Delgar Alarms is covered by a manufacturer's warranty, typically ranging from one to three years depending on the product. Our installation work is guaranteed for 90 days from the date of installation.

This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. It does not cover damage resulting from misuse, neglect, unauthorized modifications, or acts of nature. Service calls related to non-warranty issues may incur a service fee.

Delgar Alarms shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to property damage, personal injury, or financial losses arising from the use or inability to use our services or equipment.

Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Delgar Alarms & Surveillance or its content suppliers and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify any content from this website without our prior written consent.

The Delgar Alarms name, logo, and related trademarks are registered trademarks of Delgar Alarms & Surveillance. All other trademarks used on this website are the property of their respective owners.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Delgar Alarms & Surveillance disclaims all warranties, express or implied, regarding our services and equipment. We do not warrant that our services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

In no event shall Delgar Alarms be liable for any damages exceeding the amount paid by you for our services during the twelve months preceding the claim. Some states do not allow the exclusion of consequential damages, so this limitation may not apply to you.

Termination

Either party may terminate a service agreement according to the terms specified in that agreement. For month-to-month monitoring services, you must provide at least 30 days written notice. We may terminate services immediately if you violate these terms, fail to pay, or engage in fraudulent or illegal activity.

Upon termination, you will be responsible for all charges incurred through the termination date. Equipment leased from us must be returned within 30 days of termination. Unreturned equipment will be charged at full replacement cost.

Governing Law and Disputes

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana. Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be resolved in the courts of Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana, or federal courts located in the Western District of Louisiana.

If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
